Waited over an hour at the table for our food, menu had name of a different restaurant on it. Not sure what that was about. Waiter said he had only worked there 2 days, if so he did well. Food didn't come out all at once, came in pieces and was not good at all. This place doesn't know if it wants to be a cafeteria, or high end steak restaurant. Do not recommend.
So this is one of those little hidden gems near the beach. We go here at least once every trip we make to the Gulf Shores area. Great steaks among other things. I almost hate to post about it because I dont want it to become another "packed to the brim with an hour wait" kinda places, so let's just keep this between us!
A pretty good experience. It seems to slot in between the area's high end restaurants and the grease-laden tourist traps, both in cost and the type of menu. Here it's steaks, oysters and a selection of seafood dishes. I tried the shrimp and grits and they were really, really good. Shrimp and grits can be done a thousand different ways, and here it's flavorful thanks to a white wine cream sauce that ads a lot of richness to the creamy smoked Gouda grits. Hoisin ribs are also an interesting choice. They're sweet and savory full sized ribs, available as an appetizer or dinner. I really like the Asian-style sweet and slightly spicy sauce. Service, like most higher end places around here, leaves a bit to be desired, but you get 80% of a high end experience for about 80% of a high end restaurant's price. Overall a good chance of pace from fried-everything at the tourist places.
The food was excellent. Service was good and the staff was accommodating. Very laid back atmosphere. The set-up was a bit unorganized. Overall good experience and will definitely return. We ordered shrimp and grits and the grilled Salmon. Again everything was excellent and honestly exceeded our expectations.
Very nice place to eat. Our server, John, was personable and professional. The manager came and chatted with us as well. The calamari was good, but the sauce they served it with is not my favorite. The fried gulf shrimp was delicious. My wife says the grouper with crab was very good. My daughter says the seafood pasta was awesome. The prices are compatible with the area, maybe a little higher, but definitely worth it.
It wasn’t very crowded at 5pm when we went, which I was surprised at. The food was pretty good, our server was a little jumpy and forget why he went back into the kitchen (for our salad dressing) and we had to remind him. The crab was delicious, although the chef put seasoning all over the shell which got on our hands.
Excellent food, easy parking, good prices.
Best calamari appetizer I've had in a long time. Lightly battered, fried just right. Nothing chewy. Nicely portioned lunch menu entrees, priced competitively. Decent wine. Service was excellent, kitchen was on an Unauthorized Absence. Took over 35 minutes from appetizer to meal, and only one other customer in the restaurant. Manager, without us complaining/asking, discounted meal. Now that is care and commitment. We'll be back
Small mom and pop restaurant. Pricing was fair and the food was seasoned well. I enjoyed the corvina fish. This was executed perfectly
Good food, family friendly and live music tonight!
Dang! Had two previous good meals here last year. Terrible tonite. Got the filet mignon, worst I ever had. Ordered medium well, came and was like cardboard. Sent it back. 2nd one was well, very well. They came by and asked, nothing done or offered. The asparagus was good but barely warm. Hubs got apple dessert and totally dried out as well, crispy. Sad to say we will not be back. Mostly inedible for $65 plus tip.
Great food. Nice change while on vacation. A lot of food for the money. We went back again before leaving to go home.
